Orange joins \"Yerevan World Book Capital\" festive event as the book contest starts

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Orange Armenia and \"Armenian Book Center\" NGO announced the start of \"Orange Book Prize 2012\".

Orange CEO Bruno Duthoit stated today that Orange is joining the holiday of book and reading upon the start of the contest  as Yerevan was announced World Book Capital this year.

According to him, the goal of the contest is to boost interest to reading, reveal works of contemporary Armenian writers and make them available through online media.

In his turn, Chairman of \"Armenian Book Center\" NGO Mkrtich Matevosyan stated that they expect participants not only from Yerevan but also from other Armenian regions as well as Diaspora.

\"Works in 4 genres are eligible: novel, story, fairy tale and poetry (verses or poems) in Eastern Armenian or Western Armenian languages. The winner in each genre will get the chance of publishing his work in 500 copies and will be awarded AMD 500 thousand\", he said.

Matevosyan also noted that \"National Prize\" nomination was added to the contest this year and its winner will be selected through voting on Facebook social network. The winner of the nomination will also get the opportunity of publishing his work in 500 copies.

To take part in the book contest, you should submit your work written in Armenian or its summary in Word or PDF format to orangebookprize@orangearmenia.am.

The best works will be selected by the jury of the contest which is composed of editors, journalists and literary critics. The results of the contest will be summed up till February 14.
