Yerevan/Mediamax/.ArmenTel (Beeline trademark) expands the geography of “Talking SMS” service.

Now subscribers of Beeline mobile network may send voice SMS both to “ArmenTel” numbers of fixed network in Yerevan and landline phones in all the regions of Armenia.

“Expanding the geography of service based on the successful experience of the service operation in Yerevan, we give an opportunity to all our subscribers to use the traditional service of mobile network on landline phones as well”, noted ArmenTel CEO Igor Klimko.

Sending of SMS to the fixed number is similar to sending SMS to mobile number – the subscribers should dial the number of the fixed phone, type the text and send the SMS. A call is made to the fixed number and then the subscriber hears the SMS sent to him in a voice format. The subscriber of fixed network can send a voice SMS in reply if needed. In this case the mobile network subscriber gets notification on the reply message that he can hear calling to 8008 short number. To send SMS, a subscriber of mobile network should indicate the number in the following format in the number of the receiver: 010XXXXXX or 37410 XXXXXX.

SMS to be sent to a subscriber of fixed network can be written in Armenian and Russian in Cyrillic or Latin alphabet.

The cost of sending one SMS to a fixed number makes AMD 100 and the price of the outgoing call to 8008 – AMD 90 per minute. Hearing of SMS for fixed network subscribers and the sending of reply is free of charge.

Calls to numbers of fixed network are made only from 8:00 to 22:00. If SMS is sent in another time interval, the mobile network subscriber is informed that the message will be sent after 8:00a.m.
